Victory Week (Monday)

What a cool start to the Holy Week last night as we reminded ourselves the reason and need Jesus in our lives. He is the comforter, the one that brings relief when we seek other “things” in our life to bring us comfort. We are totally accepted through our beLIeVING Christ emptied out the tomb to conquer death, to equip us with himself in the daily battle of the lies that pound us. As we read last night when we ask “God will YOU?” is reply is I already have through Jesus

2Pe 1:3-4 NLT 3 By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. 4 And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.

Drink that in gang, just one sighting of many where we are equipped with resurrection power to escape, to leave, to refrain from the desires in our life that are not beneficial. WOW WOW WOW. So this week you will see quick emails with the timeline of how Jesus and that gang walked through this week. Stop here for a moment and pray that when your eyes and heart read the words of the timeline, that you will receive with fresh eyes, ears, heart.

Monday of Holy Week: According to Matthew 21, Mark 11, and Luke 19, Jesus returns to Jerusalem today and, seeing shameful practices in the Temple area, he cleanses the Temple. John’s Gospel also records that he rebuked the unbelief of the crowds. (recall we chatted through this sunday in that Jesus mentions in John 16:8-9 the world’s sin is it unbelief or it’s refusing to believe.)

Mark 11:19 records that he left the city…*he would return to Bethany the home of Lazarus, yes the same Lazarus that he called out of the tomb. (think he ever asked him what that felt like? haha) He Jesus would soon experience the fulfillment of the will of God.

Have a fabulous Monday, how will you share this week of victory with others in your home?
