Mornin’ Juice what a week!
The past few weeks we have been rolling through Hebrews, the timing was not scheduled to be this way, yet this week Hebrews 10 is on deck and ready to be read. Today, Palm Sunday, a day when Jesus and the gang strolled into the city (Matthew 21) as scripture would fulfill the words God spoke through Zechariah.
Zec 9:9 NLT 9 Rejoice, O people of Zion! Shout in triumph, O people of Jerusalem! Look, your king is coming to you. He is righteous and victorious, yet he is humble, riding on a donkey–riding on a donkey’s colt.
The prince of Peace coming into a throng of folks who were celebrating his arrival, triumphant, full of hope at least on this day! Jesus, the perfect lamb of God, coming to fulfill what the old system of yearly, monthly, weekly, daily sacrifices could not do. They could not satisfy. Jesus will complete and provide perfect cleansing.
Heb 10:7-10 NLT 7 Then I said, ‘Look, I have come to do your will, O God–as is written about me in the Scriptures.'” 8 First, Christ said, “You did not want animal sacrifices or sin offerings or burnt offerings or other offerings for sin, nor were you pleased with them” (though they are required by the law of Moses). 9 Then he said, “Look, I have come to do your will.” He (Jesus) cancels the first covenant in order to put the second into effect. 10 For God’s will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time.
Once for ALL time! Has the sacrifice of Christ, the resurrection of Christ satisfied your law? HE is enough gang when we beLIeVE…open up that heart and DRINK in….oh oh oh wait
Heb 10:17 NLT 17 Then he says, “I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.”
Yes incredibly difficult to release and let go of shame and guilt that go along with some of the ‘whatever’s in life that we are regretful, yet Jesus says, i left it in the tomb for ya, you now have:
Heb 10:20 NLT 20 By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place.
IT IS FINISHED!
